A Las Vegas guy who was once captured on video jumping over a court docket bench and table and attacking a pass judgement on was once sentenced Tuesday to lend no less than 26 years in the back of bars.
Deobra Redden, 31, was once ordered to lend between 26 and 65 years in a Nevada jail for the Jan. 3 assault on Clark County District Courtroom Pass judgement on Mary Kay Holthus, according to KLAS-TV.
Redden pleaded responsible however mentally unwell in September to tried homicide and alternative fees in a while then Holthus, 62, testified that she feared for her month when Redden jumped over her 4-foot-high bench and landed on her.

The assault took place as Holthus was once making ready to bring Redden’s sentence in a separate felony battery case.
The incident was once captured by way of court docket video, appearing Holthus falling again from her seat towards a wall as Redden jumped over her bench and grabbed her hair, knocking an American flag onto them. Holthus suffered accidents however was once no longer hospitalized.

Redden was once no longer taking his prescribed cure to keep watch over his recognized schizophrenia when he performed the assault, in step with his protection legal professional, Carl Arnold.

“I’m not making excuses for my actions, but I’m saying I’m not a bad person and I know that I did not intend to kill Mary Kay Holthus,” he advised the court docket.
Redden might be eligible for parole someday then 2050.
